Drupal designs:
The IncSub Community site design can be viewed here and
facilitates the development of a supportive community based around forum
discussions and sharing through blogposts. Simple & effective!
This IncSub Drupal Design (see
it here) facilitates simple straightforward
communication and collaboration in the for of reflective journals. Each
registered user is able to post content which then appears on this front
page in the
manner
of a
collaborative
blog. More details are on the

WordPress designs:
If you like it nice, simple, elegant and straightforward then what better way
to get it than through the incorporated subversion theme itself! See
it here and use it / play with it to your hearts content (it's perfect, I
promise!)
WordPress MultiUser (WPMU) is probably the most exciting thing to have arrived
on theblogging scene since, well, blogs. You can offer users (be they colleagues,
students or friends) a range of fantastic templates which
have been collated
here (you can try them out at IncSub
Blogs too!)
